General Vendor Information

Benton County residents may exhibit as a vendor at the Tennessee River Pearl Festival, June 13-15, 2008 free of charge. (You will be asked to PROVE your county residency) Fee for out-of-county vendors will be $35.00 for one location, or a discounted rate of $50.00 for both.

All vendors must be self-contained or self-sufficient. NO electricity is available. NO generators allowed EXCEPT for the Honda "Silent" models. This is to control noise levels for the music at the street dance.

The main event day that would be appealing to vendors establishing a site would be on Saturday, June 14, 2008. The "bulk" of attendance will be at Birdsong Resort and Marina from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.; a parade will then lead the attendance to the court square area of Camden for a Street Dance, car show and tractor show.

Vendor space will not be assigned. It will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Upon arrival at Birdsong Resort and Marina, please check in at the Boat Show Office for instructions for available placement. When arriving at the court square area, vendors may situate on the East, West or North sidewalk of the Court House. The South side of the Court House is reserved for the band and street dance event.

Booths or Tents will asked to position themselves ON the sidewalk, while self-contained trailers will be asked to park immediately in front of the sidewalk. Do NOT attempt to park trailers on the sidewalk. Please remain on the interior sidewalk/parking spaces and leave the exterior perimeter of parking spaces open.

Any vendor attending the afternoon session located on the Court Square in Camden will be asked to "drop" their trailer or off load and reposition their transportation vehicle in other parking areas. Due to traffic congestion and crowd control, the court square area will be "roped off" and all vendors at this session will be asked NOT TO LOAD or LEAVE the event until the street dance has concluded at approximately midnight.

Even free-of-charge Benton County residents must register as a vendor with the promotions company to be allowed to exhibit.

The promotions company will not be responsible for sales tax collection. Each vendor will be individually responsible for their own sales tax collection and reporting. The Tennessee Department of Revenue will be notified of this event, and will most likely be checking vendors for credentials of reporting or collecting tax dollars on-site.

Food vendors are individually responsible for meeting local health inspector requirements. These officials will most likely be on site for inspection, as well.
