A whirlwind weekend draws to conclusion with a relaxing finale'. Enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon of food, fun and fellowship. The Gospel Jubilee and "Dinner on the Grounds" will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Nathan Bedford Forest State Park Pavilion.
Churches from all around the Magic Valley will take the stage and perform in the Gospel Jubilee, throughout the day.
For those not familiar with the term "Dinner on the Grounds," it is not a pay-to-eat event, but those wishing to dine are asked to participate and bring a dish to share.
It is customary to bring a dish (or dishes) - enough to feed yourself and your attending family. Rule of thumb is a meat, vegetable and dessert if you are bringing the family. Then all dishes are placed out on the table, and we share... family style! A marvelous buffet line of home-cooked vittles.
Dinner on the Grounds will commence at approximately 2 - 2:30 p.m. (As soon as all the food gets there!)
The Tennessee River Pearl Festival is grilling chicken, and will provide paper plates, napkins, cups and flatware. So bring your food to share, your lawn chairs and enjoy the day of fellowship!
There will be contests for the best homemade ice cream, and best Benton County sorghum dessert. Contestants should make enough for judging, as well as sharing!
